Sussex County, Virginia
Sussex County is a rural agriculture and timber market whose one real development asset is I-95 frontage at the Stony Creek and Jarratt interchanges, with the Sussex I and Sussex II state prisons and the school system as the largest employers. Waverly and Wakefield along US-460 hold the remaining commercial base, and outside the interstate interchanges and the towns there is little public water and sewer to support new projects.
