VMAP vs. MapWise

The Florida research incumbent

MapWise has spent 20+ years building the best parcel research tool in Florida — if your job is building owner lists, matching LLCs through Sunbiz, or exporting 50,000 records for a mail campaign, it's excellent and we're not trying to replace it.

VMAP solves the other half of the job: what you show the client. Styled, labeled, current layers that open in Google Earth and look like you spent a week on them — plus Georgia, the Carolinas and Texas, which MapWise doesn't touch.

Choose MapWise if you live in owner searches and bulk exports, and Florida is your whole world.
Choose VMAP if you present to clients, work in Google Earth, need political/civic layers, or work beyond Florida. (Plenty of pros run both.)

VMAP vs. Land id™

The build-your-own map app

Land id (formerly MapRight) is a polished tool for making one map at a time — a branded tour for a ranch listing, boundaries and soils for a land deal. If you market rural listings and want to hand-craft each map, it's a good fit.

VMAP starts where the DIY approach runs out of hours: the whole county is already built. Every zoning district colored, every precinct labeled, every official current — for ~190 counties. You don't make the map; you open it.

Choose Land id if you want to design bespoke maps and tours for individual listings.
Choose VMAP if you'd rather have every layer for the whole market ready the moment you need it.

VMAP vs. doing it yourself

County GIS, FEMA, state portals

Everything VMAP sells is built from public data — we say so on the pricing page. If you have GIS skills and time, you can pull zoning from the county, flood zones from FEMA, districts from the state, then clean, style, and label all of it.

What you're buying from us is that work, done and kept current: six websites' worth of data, reconciled, color-coded, and refreshed when counties redraw and FEMA republishes. Most subscribers cover the month's cost with the first afternoon they don't spend on it.

Choose DIY if your time is free and you enjoy shapefiles.
Choose VMAP if an afternoon of your time is worth more than $49.

See it before you spend anything

Every county starts free — five base layers and a live map, no card, no trial clock. When you need zoning, traffic, flood and the rest, Pro unlocks everything for $49 a month. Cancel any time; your downloads stay yours.
