Navarro County, Texas
Navarro County's seat, Corsicana, was the site of the first Texas oil boom in 1894 and later became known for the Collin Street Bakery's mail-order fruitcake, but its trajectory now is increasingly tied to Dallas as I-45 commuter growth pushes Metroplex rooftops south into the county. Navarro College and light manufacturing round out the base.
