Pasquotank County, North Carolina
Pasquotank County occupies North Carolina's northeastern Albemarle Sound region, anchored by Elizabeth City, its seat and largest city, on the Pasquotank River. Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, the service's largest air station, is the county's biggest employer and steadies housing demand, while waterfront parcels along the sound fall under state CAMA coastal-development rules that limit shoreline building.
