Gadsden County, Florida
Gadsden County lies immediately west of Tallahassee on the Georgia line, centred on Quincy, Havana and Chattahoochee. It is the only Florida county with a majority-Black population, built historically on shade tobacco and now on agriculture, timber and state institutions — its growth is Tallahassee commuters moving west along I-10 into a market with substantially lower land cost.
