Franklin County, Florida
Franklin County is a small Panhandle coastal county centred on Apalachicola, Carrabelle and the barrier islands of St. George and Dog Island. Its economy runs on the Apalachicola Bay seafood industry and coastal tourism, and development is tightly bounded: most of the mainland is Apalachicola National Forest and state land, so buildable inventory is concentrated on the islands and the narrow coastal strip.
