Williamsburg City, Virginia
Williamsburg is an independent city with its own zoning, schools and tax base, wedged between James City and York counties and driven by William and Mary plus Colonial Williamsburg tourism. At nine square miles with architectural review over much of the core, the city has little developable ground left, so most new hotel, retail and residential product lands in James City County along the Richmond Road and I-64 corridors.
