Grayson County, Virginia
Grayson County is a rural, agricultural county in the far southwest corner of Virginia, with cattle and hayground on the high plateau and Independence as a small courthouse seat rather than a commercial center. Retail and jobs come from the independent city of Galax next door, and Mount Rogers, Grayson Highlands and the New River drive what outside investment there is, mostly recreation and second homes.
