Union County, Florida
Union County is the smallest county in Florida by land area, sitting in the north of the state around Lake Butler. State corrections is the dominant employer — the Union Correctional and Reception complexes are among Florida's largest — with farming and timber filling the rest, and its small size means the county's market is effectively the town and its immediate surroundings.
