Jefferson County, Florida
Jefferson County runs from the Georgia line to the Gulf just east of Tallahassee, centred on the antebellum county seat of Monticello. It is the only Florida county with a single K-12 school district campus and among the least populous, with an economy of timber, plantation land and hunting leases — its development pressure is entirely Tallahassee commuters along the US 90 and I-10 corridor.
