Free base layers for the counties we cover — live on the map, no download required. Below is live Virginia Beach City County, Virginia data, drawn in its real colors — plus live previews of our most popular paid layers. Toggle away.
Coverage is still going county by county — a layer marked not yet mapped is one we have not built for that county yet. The five base layers stay free for every county we cover. Everything beyond them — zoning, traffic counts, commercial, wetlands, HUD, soils & geology and the rest — is included with VMAP Pro, $49 a month for every county. See pricing.
Virginia Beach is an independent city with its own zoning, schools and tax base, the most populous locality in Virginia, built on the military presence at Naval Air Station Oceana and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, resort tourism, and a Town Center office core that functions as the city's CBD. Two hard constraints define the deal set, the AICUZ noise and accident-potential zones around Oceana that restrict use and density across a large share of the city, and the Green Line that holds back urban services in the southern agricultural half, while the transatlantic cable landings have opened a technology and data-center niche on the north end.
