Free base layers for the counties we cover — live on the map, no download required. Below is live Fairfax County, Virginia data, drawn in its real colors — plus live previews of our most popular paid layers. Toggle away.
Coverage is still going county by county — a layer marked not yet mapped is one we have not built for that county yet. The five base layers stay free for every county we cover. Everything beyond them — zoning, traffic counts, commercial, wetlands, HUD, soils & geology and the rest — is included with VMAP Pro, $49 a month for every county. See pricing.
Fairfax County is the largest jurisdiction in Virginia and the core of the Northern Virginia office and technology market, with Tysons, Reston and the Dulles corridor carrying high-rise office and mixed-use density around Metro's Silver Line and a tenant base of federal agencies, defense and IT contractors and firms such as Capital One headquartered in Tysons. Note that the county seat, the City of Fairfax, is an independent city outside county jurisdiction, and that development is shaped less by land supply than by entitlement, proffers, transit-oriented comprehensive plan amendments and the county's ongoing push to convert obsolete suburban office to residential.
