Lehigh County covers the western Lehigh Valley between Blue Mountain and the Bucks County line, with Allentown as county seat and growth spread through Whitehall and the two Macungie townships. Warehouse and logistics absorption along Interstate 78 has consumed much of Upper and Lower Macungie's industrial zoning, so remaining sites now compete with preserved farmland and municipal limits on truck traffic.
